Proliant 7000 or 5500? by Guy Macon
I am thinking of replacing my 200MHz Pentium Pro 5500 with something a bit faster. There are a lot of Xeon 5500s on eBay with 400-550 Mhz Xeons, or I have an opportunity to pick up a Proliant 7000 locally cheap. Will I be able to put the 3GB of 228471-001 256MB ram chips and the 199598-001 4.3GB...

Hi, Has anyone tried installing a RILOE in to a Deskpro EN system? Will it work? I know it's not spec'd for it, but I figure if I can use one in my Prosignia 200 (P166) server it should work. Thanks, Doug

About a year ago I obtained 4 of these beauties, together with the appropriate 12v VRMs. Now, they don't work in a ProLiant 5000. :-( But looking at the Compaq site, they *do* appear in the Proliant 5000 parts/spares list (with a list price of about $2500 each!!!) Questions for the panel 1....

Any Way to Add TWO NC-3134 Ethernet Cards to Windows NT 4.0? by Will
Is there a trick to adding two Compaq NC-3134 ethernet cards to a Windows NT 4.0 box? When I select Add for the second card, and insert the Compaq OEMSETUP.INF on the most recent ethernet distribution floppies, Compaq simply re-installs the existing card. The second card never shows up in the...
