I currently have a Geforce 4 ti 4200 se 128mb card. I just bought a ATI
Radeon 9800 pro 128mb and am wondering, is this a really good card? Or
should I have gone with a Geforce FX series card?

DirectX 9.0a and GeForce 4 MX 440 by
Poochie
I got a ABIT GeForce 4 MX 440 and upgraded my directx to version 9.0a. Is it
normal that I can run MotoGP 2 DEMO but 3D Mark 2003 and Colin McRae Rally 3
DEMO will just terminate without entering in the 3d mode?
Thanks, Poochie

Can't Run 3DMark03 w/GeForce 4 Ti4600 by
JJay
Have a P4/3GHz, 875P, 800FSB, 1Gig/RAM, GF4 Ti-4600,
WinXP-Pro SP1. Using Nvidia drivers 41.09, score on
3DMark2001SE was 14,000. Updated drivers to 43.45 and score
went to 14,350. Frame rates rarely dropped below 100 in
high-detail, 200-300 elsewhere. Smooth, no problems. No

MX, TI, & FX. WTF? by
Andrew Z Carpenter [Newsgroup Groupie]
Hi folks,
I understood that the MX line was the budget lower
powered cards, and the TI cards were the high
powered ones. Now everything is all FX, how do I
tell which are the budget cards, and which are the
high powered ones? Is it simply a case of the
higher the model number the better the...

Doesn't Direct 3d work with win98? by
Brett Johnston
I got a Geforce 2, latest drivers for it, latest directx, but I can't get
direct 3d enabled in directx diagnostics. Must I upgrade to XP? I can't
think of what else to do.

Worth upgrading an GeForice 4 MX440 to FX 5200? by
Bobby
Is it worth replacing my MX440 (64Mb) with an FX5200 (128Mb)? I appreciate
that this FX is bottom of the range. But would it make any difference to my
graphics performance?
Cheers.

Hello,
I'm a newbie to this. I'm building myself a system for the first time.
It's a hobbist machine. The main power instensive uses will be 2D graphics,
video capture (probably using my digital camcorder for converting my anolog
tapes to digital format) and video editing, watching movies--but...
