Help!!! I think my computer just died ?? by

I accidentally hit the restart when I was wiping off some dust , then
nothing it would not boot
kept getting Press r on the cd to repair missing files .
well I tried to do so... I was able to get it to boot briefly in safe mode
until it rebooted then gave me the same thing ; Keeps looping in boot...

2* 512mb DDR400
MSI GeForce4 Ti4200-8* 128 mb ddr
350w hyena psu
Win XP sp1
at the moment only 40gb hdd
I have updated bios and drivers from gigabyte website
My problem is it won't shut down

my AMD2600 shows up only as a 1250MHz in my new GA-7N400 Pro2 ??? by

I'm pretty new to all this PC building thing, and so far thinsg ahve gone
well.
Except that my AMD2600 shows up only as a 1250MHz in my new GA-7N400 Pro2.
This shows during BIOS boot up and in WindowsXP (Mycomputerproperties).
Any help woule be VERY welcome

I've today upgraded my GA7-VAX with AMD 2000+ and 512Mb 2700 RAM to same
motherboard with AMD 2700+ and an additional 512Mb 2700 RAM.
