AN7 won't power up -- help! by
Andrew Biggs
I've just installed a new AN7 in my computer, but it won't power up.
The red LED on the board is lit and I get an F code on the display,
but when I hit the power button nothing happens - no fans, no hard
drive, etc.
One thing I've thought of is that the motherboard has two main power
inputs (one...

Hi All,

abit SG-72, which I thought would probably slot straight in and work as

I have a mobile rack HD, that I carry around. When I use in the pc with

extremly hot, as compared when I use it with the other pcs.
This sounds strange, since the place where it is inserted in the cases
is always the same.
Is there...

problem with the power supply by
ashiq022
More than likely is a problem with the power supply. I would look for
the capacitors around the CPU socket to see if they are leaking (sort of
a brownish reside) or swollen. If in deed this appears to be the case,
The CAPS can purchased and replaced. It takes extremely good soldering
skills a very...

Can't change the Barton CPU multiplier on Abit KD7A MB by

I Have a Abit KD7A motherboard with a Barton 2500+ CPU.
All the L3 cpu straps are intact and uncut so the CPU is unlocked.
However I can't change the multiplier. When I use the softmenu and
user configuration it says it changed it but it doesn't. The boot up remains
locked at 11x multiplier. When I...

However, the machine by
bangla1414
There is an unfixed BIOS issue on the TH7-II RAID (at least with the
last available BIOS) that shows up with XP SP2 resulting in the MB
failing to auto shut down on exiting the OS. It auto shuts down fine
with XP SP1. However, the machine can still be readily shut down via
the case front-panel...

Can the NF7-M handle DDR400 at 400Mhz? by
Baz Metcalfe
I've been told that if you utilize onboard graphics, you're memory is
limited to DDR333 speeds regardless of the memory used. I assume this means
overclocking the fsb is also compromised, at least at synchronous speeds. A
friend pointed me to the RAM section...
