Peter Werner
First my setup:
Macintosh G4/466 "Digital Audio" running OS 9.2.2
ATI Radeon 32 Mb DDR video card
Sony SDM-X82 TFT LCD Monitor
This works just fine through its VGA connection, but both my card and
the monitor have a DVI port and I've really been wanting to use this
for my connection. However,...

"Signal out of range" during POST with s-video cable connected by
Icarus
I have a problem on a LG1710S screen, a Abit NF7-S mobo and a
radeon9800pro... I get "signal out of range" on screen during POST if I have
my s-video cable connected at the same time... if I remove s-video, there's
no problem.
Anyone know why this is happening? It could be a gfx-card issue, but...

"Two AIW questions", part 2 by
Matt Ion
Well, I did a complete uninstall of all ATI software, then manually
removed all remaining vestiges I could find (removed \Program Files\ATI
Technologies\, removed \WINDOWS\ATI*.*, removed all ATI references in
the registry)... seems to have cleared up the issue with the ATIMMC TV
tuner app locking...

Wonder how long they'll continue to push the "platform computing" crap
before they realize IGP chipsets aren't profitable. :-)

"Error 8000-4005" - What Does it Mean? by
[email protected]
I bought an inexpensive WinTVR3 PCI card from Circuit City and it works
pretty well except when I try to record a cable TV program. I get this
"Error 8000=4005: Cannot build graph" message. I even installed a high
performance AGP video card but it still did not solve the problem. I
would appreciate...

I was getting a "no video" message between the Windows XP loading window and
the Welcome screen with all the drivers from 9/2006 to present and although
not a big deal was a little annoying however it would always bootup to the
desktop. The 8/22/06 drivers solved that problem . Has anyone...

"Overdrive" by
Craig Coope
Well as posted a week or so ago I have finally got a new card (X1950
Pro Agp) and I'm really pleased with it. It seemed to run ok with my
360W PSU but I got paranoid and so have now fitted a 550W. Anyway I
have been messing around with the CCC settings now I know I have the
power behind it. The...

"Painkiller" game on x800 Pro by
Phil[_3_]
This game ran very well on my old Radeon 9700 Pro. I now have a x800 Pro

something very strange is going on. I seem to get a lot of 'screen tearing'
when walking sideways but not forwards.
At first I thought it was the Vysnc but it happened even when I switched it
to "always...
