epson 825 wont feed paper by websterart dotcom
My 5 year old epson 825 stopped feeding paper. I searched the net for instructions on how to fix it but found nothing. Here is how I did it. I have a trusty old epson 825. It stopped feeding paper. It sounded like it wanted to feed paper as it was making all the usual happy noises but one was...

How can I save on ink costs? by Robert Montgomery[_2_]
How can I save on ink costs? My Epson Stylus Photo 2400 inkjet sucks up a lot of expensive ink. I don't want to use another brand of ink in that printer because I need the ink to be archival.

altering postscript code on the fly to get pure black and white by sean_n
Hello, this might not be the right group, but since it's related to printers, I'll try it here too. Is it possible to alter postscript code (not manually, but on the fly via a script or utility or whatever) before it is sent to a printer? I'm guessing not, but just thought i'd ask just in case. ...

Frustrated with my Epson cx7400, good alternative? by Mac Cool
I have an all in one Epson cx7400. The problem is that I don't use the printer every day and the heads clog like a mutha. I just wasted about half a cart of ink on head cleaning and it is still banding and it is leaving black bands across the paper. No point in wasting another $36 for ink so...

HP deskjet 990cxi: overflowing and jammed waste ink sponge by Jeff Jonas
I'm trying to unjam a HP deskjet 990cxi. The ink parking/sealing station grinds away upon power up. The waste ink pad was so full it leaked ink! 1) How does the pad remove? I lifted it from the spike and it still won't come out. 2) Can I just use a plain sponge 'till I get a real...

Netgear PS101 print server stalling by ps56k
I have an old HP laserjet printer that has been connected to our desktop via parallel connection. It's worked for years around the WiFi house, but we had to keep the desktop turned on to print. A while ago I acquired the small Netgear PS101 parallel print server that just plugs right into the...

character set generator by Andreas Moroder
Hello, I would like to print upside down characters with our ESC/P compatibel printers ( Epson LQ 680, Oki 390 FB etc. ) from a command line application. AFAIK there is no ESC sequence to do this, so I would like to use a customer character set with inverted characters. Does a possibly free...

Need Laser Printer recommendation (low cost per page via toner refil kits) by [email protected]
I need to buy a new laser printer. My #1 priority is low cost per page. I am looking for a printer where a kit is available to easily refil cartridges and still provide adequate performance. Please recommend a printer and toner refil kit. Thanks

Substitute ink for Kodak EasyShare ???? by theChas
In the past I have had bad luck using refill kits and 2nd party inks with my printers. I am in need of ink now, (Kodak 5300), and I am wondering if any of you people have any experiences using 2nd party inks? I prefer staying with Kodak, but the Kodak black cartridge is not available now on...

Hi Sir. You appear to be one of the more informed persons here. Do you have any info about resetting the waste ink counter on a canon MP180? I've seen several procedures but none specific to this model. I don't need it yet but want to be prepared when I do. I've sucessfully done it on a couple...
