Why no 8 x 12 Photo Paper by
Frank Arthur
Why can't you buy 8 x 12 inch Photo Paper for Epson or HP Printers?
35mm Film Cameras and Digital Cameras use the 2:3 proportions
so they would fit 8 x 12 paper yet none is available. Anyone know why?

Longevity of inkjet Matte papers? by
Bill Tuthill
Anybody have words of wisdom about longevity of inkjet Matte papers?
According to Wilhelm's testing they are more durable against fading
than glossy "Photo" papers. Friends who use Epson Heavyweight Matte
on an Epson 2400 report many years of non-fading display.
Whereas Epson Photo Paper with...

What's the trick to make Ethernet work on an HP 2100TN printer? by

In another thread, I mentioned a friend gave me a printer.
Here is a picture of the HP LaserJet 2100TN hooked up at my house:

The friend had it on AppleTalk (Macintosh), but I'm Windows
and Linux (XP and Ubuntu).
I plugged the printer into the router by the...

Canon iP4000 or iP5000? For graphic output by
Sarah Feliz
So I'm considering ditching the HP8450 I just got (good photos, great speed,
inferior graphics). And have seen ultra raves for the Canon iP printers,
especially the iP5000 (the ip4000 too, but not quite as much).
Would this work for graphic output like making greeting cards, using
non-proprietary...

Warning for those buying a new printer by
Lyn Buchanan
This might be helpful to anyone on the list who is thinking about buying new
equipment: Please spread this to other lists, as well, in the hopes that it
will help others.
I purchased an Epson C62 printer last year, which was a good printer. I had
no complaints other than the fact that they build...

Which is cheaper: refill inks or compatibles? by
OM
Can someone tell me, which is cheaper: refill inks or compatibles?
I've become a fan of compatibles, they're dirt cheap (well compared to
the original manufacturer ones).
I've always been against using refills because opening them up is a
messy process.
(Well... at least this is what had in mind,...

Truth by
measekite
OEM inks cause fewer problems than aftermarket ink.
OEM inks are sold in all marketing channels.
With OEM inks you know who the mfg/formulator is.
With AfterMarket Inks
Most vendors will not tell you who the mfg/formulator is.
Most vendors fail to fully disclose all of the information concerning

Questions on Canon S820 by
Ed T
I have a 3 year old Canon S820 that has started to print color photos and
graphics that are way out of balance.
Cleaning, deep cleaning, & cartridge replacement has not helped.
Sometimes the thing works as expected with no errors and at other times it
does not. Is this a print head problem. ...

Kodak 5300 print problems by
the-changling
I love this printer when it works. But I do not print constantly. The
printer can be turned off for maybe a month or more. But when I need
it I need it. I had no problems over the years with my old Canon
Bubblejet 4300. But they do not make ink anymore so I got rid of it
and got the Kodak 5300....

Inkjet Purchase by
Larry
Having read the opinions on the Canon ip4000 (and 5000), they look good to
replace my Epson C86. But, what are the downsides of the ip4000. Cost per
photo, general ink costs etc. Have not been able to find much about them
from a user perspective
many thanks

Pressit PrintClean inkjet cleaning cartridges? by

Hi folks,
I'm having immense problems with an Epson Stylus Colour Photo 950 7 colour
printer which continually holds up all my work and prevents me from meeting
deadlines. I go to print a document in a hurry only to find there's no ink
on the paper. I then go through multiple cleaning cycles to...

Alternatives to QImage? by
Caitlin
I downloaded QImages last month, and was quite happy with it. What I'm after
is something that allows me to print multiple photos in any layout I like.
The trial period on QImage has now expired, and I went to register and was
rather shocked by how expensive it is. Is there anything else out there...

Hi,
I am planning to buy an inkjet printer...the printer won't be used for

the printer won't be used extensively as well...as I already have

I cant even locate a product manual on canons site. useless.
Does anyone know how to determine which black cartidged is used, when.
I assumed the large tank was used when you select plain paper (default) and
the small black used when you choose photo paper.
This does not appear to be the...

how to conserv ink on Canon ip3000? by
[email protected]
Hi,
Recently i bought a canon ip3000, it works great. I would like to know
how to conserv ink on this printer. After printing for ~800 pages (most
in black) it reports that its running low on black ink. Is this the
best this printer can perform? Any suggestion or links would be
helpful.

Canon rebates: Warning. Not recieving mine by
measekite
Yeh, I think there ought to be a law that all rebates should be instant
at the check stand rebates.
At the same time they need to regulate the 3rdparty ink industry. At
least they should have a full disclosure law.
Mapanari wrote:

canon inkjet with Epson paper? by
l e o
I think I have enough with the Epson inkjet printers. The printhead clog
regularly. I can unclog them but the ink also get use up rather fast. I
didn't print many photos either. I am wondering if I get a Canon printer
(maybe i9900), can I still use the Epson "Premium Glossy" and
"ColorLife" paper...
