JohnD
Update, I managed to get the board to POST with all cards on the

More on 8KNXP and RAM compatibility by
Bob Davis
In an inquiry to GB tech support, I received this reply regarding the memory
I presently have installed in this computer:
"Please check the Kingston, is it PC3200 with 2.5v or 2.6v on the module? If
it is a 2.6v, it does not work properly on this board."
Has anyone heard of anything like this...

GA-SINXP1394: using WinXP Power Management on IDE3 & IDE4 by
Dave Matthews
Hi gang,
Sorry if this is a daft question but I don't fully appreciate the
implications/limitations of running hard drives from IDE3 and IDE4 on the
SINXP board. Quite simply I cannot get Win XP's (Home Edition, SP1) built-in
power management to suspend any of my HDDs on these channels. Note...

A couple of questions about the GA-7NNXP by
John
Is this board fussy about what brand of memory it uses, I'm only going to be
putting simple (Something like Crucial
http://www.crucial.com/uk/store/PartSpecs.asp?imodule=CT6464Z40B&cat=RAM )
PC3200 as I won't be overclocking in any way?
Also I presume it's safe to run a 266/333 FSB CPU (at 266/333...

8KNXP IDE 3 by
IMConfused
I'd like to be able to use a single HDD on IDE 3. There must
be some simple step that I'm missing because whenever I
connect to IDE 3 the PC will not boot, it hangs at NTLDR
not found.
Since a single drive didn't work I tried 2 HDD on IDE 3,
master/slave, and two Raid options were...

8knxp bios by
Tim
Thanks,
That is what I have. I do boot off SATA ok, but only if the 2nd disc (IDE)
is plugged into the ITE & it is configured as non RAID (the manual says
'ATA' I think).
However, the thing that doesn't work is if you have an IDE disc in the
standard Primary Channel but want to boot of the SATA...

GA-8KNXP and RAID Card by
rodeoislander
I am using a Highpoint 'Rocket 133 S' (non-raid) with my 8knxp and it works
great.
The integrated Highpoint Raid controllers on several past motherboards have
worked well. When Adaptec decided to release a hardware based ata133 raid
card, they chose Highpoint chips to control it.
So, no direct...

GA-7KNXP: ITE HDD problems, help please by
pagefault
I have a problem doing large amounts of disk I/O from ITE drive to ITE drive

mode.
WHY in DOS you ask? Well, I use Powerquest Drive Image to create image files
in DOS, and I have found that if both source and target HDDs...

problems I should know about before I take the plunge? I won't be o/c I just
want a stable board that's all, would be nice if they gave decent tech
support but from what I've read that one goes out the window (bit like Abit

GA7n400 Pro is a POS? by

Well, the folks at Gig's offices got me out of the woods.
I will put them back on my buy list, with an unhappy face, since I

diskette, and very clear instructions.
Anyway, the folks there emailed me a zip file with the proper...
