MB Monitoring Utilities? by
(PeteCresswell)
My Asus board came with a little util that tells CPU temp, MB
temp, and a number of other things.
Is there something on my EP45-DS3L install disc that I missed?

Raid Array: Faster Startup Times? by
(PeteCresswell)
Technically I'm no candidate for Raid0: not much Photoshopping,
no video editing....
But I'm a closet type A and the faster my applications (like MS
Word....) start up, the less stressed-out I am.
If I go to Raid0, will I notice the diff for that kind of use?
If so, are 4 drives twice as fast as...

Gigabyte, next bios! by

Hi Gigabyte,
I've been having problems with my Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R sens i first
got it it's not broken, it just won't work well with my Crucial DDR2
BallistiX PC8500 RAM. I think the problem lies in how the GA-P35C-DS3R
distribute current to the RAM. At default (auto) my RAM get's from
2.0v to...

EP45-DS3L: Reboot Loop? by
(PeteCresswell)
Sometimes - not always - this board gets into some kind of loop
where the GigaByte splash screen shows, then it starts booting
again... showing the splash screen again... and booting again.
Can be provoked reliably by plugging a USB drive into the front
panel.
Without the USB device on the front...

SATA Port0-3 Native Mode and RAID problem by
Beemer
My GA EP45-DS3P has six sata ports (0-5) I have all in use and my RAID 1
pair are connected to ports 4 and 5.
I have used F6 when installing XP to load the Intel ICH10R driver. I then
used Ctrl-I to load the Intel Matrix Storage manager to configure my SATA 1
pair.
My Bios Rev 7 has CMOS...

Off-topic: lowest consuming chipsets ? by
jk
Hi
I have searched around and did not find any overview.
But I remember that 780G is a very low consuming chipset. Right ?
I use it with a 4850E.
How about Nvidia ?
Are there any chipset for Intel that can compare with 780G concerning

I have two SATA 500GB disks which previously were working with my failed ECS

it was definately RAID 1.

Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3R and Pentium D? by
Larc[_3_]
The spec page on Gigabyte's site clearly indicates this board supports Pentium
D.
http://tinyurl.com/3eumgw
Yet, the detailed CLU support list has "N/A" by all Pentium Ds, meaning "Not
Supported."
Which is correct?

Ricky Smith
I have 2 500GB hard drives, one with Windows XP, the other with
Windows Vista. Both drives (when plugged in stand alone using
different SATA cables into different SATA ports) exhibit the same
symptoms.
Windows, after a short time after boot, will experience a "drive
freeze" where all hard drive...

Heatsink on bottom of mothboard - is this necessary? by
Gilgamesh
I'm looking at fitting a non Intel CPU cooler to my GA-EX38-DQ6 motherboard.
But all the ones I've looked at require the removal of the heatsinks on the
bottom of the motherboard.
Would removing these heatsinks have any impact upon the performance of the
rest of the motherboard?
Thanks

Will this PS (EG365AX-VE) work with a GA-EP35 motherboard? by
shawn
I'm looking to upgrade my system from the current P4 to a new C2D
based around an E7200 and a Gigabyte GA-EP35 motherboard. It will also
have a low end video card (probably an ATI 4670), probably 2GB of
PC6400 RAM, a HD and a CDROM drive.
That's a fairly low power system so I'm wondering if I can...
