DVD Recorder Question by

I'm looking into getting a DVD recorder, but have a few questions I can't
find answers to. I've got an Athlon 64 3500+ and I'm using SATA HDs. I'm
looking at 2 drives primarily. A $50 IDE 16x drive w/ a 2MB cache and $66
SATA 12x one w/ an 8MB cache. Will using a PATA vs. a SATA recorder...

Hello,
Have a abit NF7-S rev 2, sata hdd 250 gig, xfx 6800 gt. When I internet my
hdd stops when I scroll through the page. I hear a "klik" and my system
freezes for about 2 seconds. Then I can work again. Does anyone know this. I

Wireless card that support WPA & Win 98? by

Hello I have a Belkin modem/router and wireless network card, and I want to
upgrade from 128bit WEP to WPA-PSK. I set up the router OK. The network card
doesn't see the network. It says on the box that the card supports both
Win98 and WPA. I contacted Belkin who say WPA only works with Win XP...

I have an Asus aq7v8x motherboard (FSB 2x133)with a 2.0 Ghz AMD Athlon
XP processor. It's a bit slow for some of the vfideo tasks I set it,
so I'm thinking of upgrading with a Novatech bundle.
They're offering a Pentium 4 3.0Ghz processor with an unnamed

When running a game (FAR CRY) a short while ago the game crashed and
rebooted the computer. When it restarted the screen was corrupted and
unusable. It had the appearance of short horizontal lines one pixel
high all over the screen; you could make out what was on the screen,

friend of mine just got a liteon dvd-rw, he stuck it in and when he attempts
to open the drive to see the contents he gets the message "please insert
disk into drive F:\"
there is no disk in the drive but shouldn't he still be able to access it?

motherboard not powering up by

I recently changed the Power supply on my mini ATX motherboard.
it does not power up. I made sure the new powersupply works fine.
when I unplug the CPU pins then, the fans on the powersupply and the
heat sink power up.
what could be the problem ..

Mainboard is a Gigabyte 8ik1100 which utilizes the full features of this

I am setting up a computer using IDE Raid 0 Two 80 gig drives. Is it better
to put them as master and slave on one IDE chain and Master my IDE DVD on
the second chain or Put both of them as Masters on two separate chains and
Slave the DVD?
