Zip Drive Configuration? by Paul Doble
Hi, Where should an internal zip drive sit in the IDE interface? I have a 70gb hard drive on the primary IDE channel and a DVD drive and a CD re-writer on the secondary. I am worried that by connecting the zip drive on the primary channel , it will slow down the hard drive? Thanks in advance

ZIP DRAM? by Pelysma
Anybody know how to pull ZIP DRAM out of its socket? Zigzag Inline Package Dynamic RAM is a chip that stands on edge on the board. It was used as main memory in some Commodores and as video memory in many 386/486 systems. The name apparently comes from the pin arrangement; they project from the...

ze5170: would 7200rpm drive be noticeable faster? by mscir
I have an old ZE5170 that runs great. I bumped up the RAM from 512kb to 1MB - the max it can handle - and it's now fast enough to work well with the latest FF and Chrome browsers. I don't need a lot of power, it's used for email, web browsing, writing PHP and Visual Basic, so it's fast enough...

Zalman fan mate speed controller by Robert J. Grimes
I have this resistor controller for my cpu fan and it works great. However, it is INSIDE the computer case so I can't easily change the speed if things start cooking inside. Has anyone figured out a way to hook it up so it can be put outside the case OR an alternative that will allow me to adjust...

Zalman fan by MNaut
A Zalman fan has been recommended by some users of this newsgroup as a quieter alternative for my AMD system with a Speeze CPU fan. I emailed the builder of the system and asked about a Zalman fan. He said it was do-able with my Socket 7 mother board and Thunderbird 1 gig system. His...

Zalman CNPS9500 AMD L-Shaped Clip by D
I accidently bought the CNPS9500-AT (for socket 775 only) instead of -LED (which includes components for Socket 939) and now I am faced with having to return the product, having to pay the shipping and the restocking fees on top of the cost I already incurred. All I need is the L-Shaped...
