Could lightning flashes damage a camcorder ? by
Skybuck Flying[_3_]
Hello,
I am thinking about purchasing/ordering an "expensive" camcorder... with
sound option too ! ;) :)
I might use it sometime to film a thunderstorm...
I am wondering if such "thunder flashes" might damage the camcorder ?
Like a human's eye staring into the sun for too long ?

Red Alert 3 has problems with multiple IP's and Hamachi. by
Skybuck Flying[_2_]
Hello,
Hosting and joining games works bad in Red Alert 3 especially for computers
that have multiple IP addresses, or networks like hamachi where there is
possibly lots of packet loss.
Symptoms a
1. Not being able to host games.
2. Not being able to join games.

7800GS 1-Day sale @ NewEgg by
Ed Forsythe
Hi Troops,
I'm sorry I'm a little late but I just surfed NewEgg and saw the eVGA
7800GS 256-A8-N507 for $284 ( $289 - $15 mail-in rebate). I'm know that I
should have waited for the more substantial price cuts but what the heck
it's only money ;-)

Problem installing 6600GT video card by
JayJay
Recently purchased a new video card (Colorful 6600GT) and after
installing the card noticed that the fan wasn't running. Shut down,
and reset the card into the AGP slot and tried again, still no joy.
Noticed that there was nothing showing on the monitor.
The card has a 4-pin power connector which...

what to buy: 8800GT or HD3870 or 9600GT ? by
Beladi Nasrallah
So, I decided to buy a new videocard. Presently, I have an nVidia
7600GT. It plays a lot, if not most of the games of the past 2 years
at the settings close to maximum. But I wanted to be able to play
Crysis and the like.
I was thinking about nVidia 8800GT. However, its length is 23 cm, and

swapping 9800pro for 6800GT - problem by

I have a faulty ATi 9800 Pro which I have just received an RMA for. I
originally intened to swap the card for a Nvidia 6800 GT. The excess is
quite a lot, but I'm sick with dealing with ATI and the performance leap
for games seems worth the extra outlay.
Today, after researching which version of...
