Radeon 9600 supports 1680x1050 over DVI? by
Peter Bassett
Have a new 22" Widescreen LCD with a 1680x1050 native resolution hooked up
to my PowerSpec 2.53GHz PC with Windows XP.
Unfortunately, the Radeon 9600 will not play back video over DVI. Windows
comes up at 1680x1050 but I only get audio with WatchHDTV (TV tuner). Just
a black screen, unless I...

Issues in Using Widescreen LCD Monitor & 1080p HD LCD TV by
KlausK
My card is an X1950XT and my monitor is a Sony 23" WS (1920x1200). Today I
bought an LG 47" LCD TV (1920x1080) and connected it to my PC. My PC
successfully detected it as an LG LCD TV.
Here are two issues:
1. Does CCC remember the resolution of each monitor? When I switched to the
LG TV from...

8600GTS.
The faster 3870 will be reviewed in a few more months when it hits the

Do not install drivers from Vista WU by
Dr Teeth
A pci express driver for ATi cards has appeared and seem to be causing
major problems. I could no boot my Vista partition in any type of safe
mode, let alone normal mode. I had always avoided Windows Update
drivers, but thought things may have improved with Vista.
The driver in question is ATi PCI...

First Radeon HD3870 Benches by
First of One[_2_]

Not much except for some 3DMark 06 and Crysis runs. Seems to be slightly
slower than the 8800GT. Looks like they got the hardware AA resolver working
again with the 55 nm respin, so performance with AA is now competitive.

Old Drivers for ABIT card with ATI Radeon X600 chipset by
Calogero M.
Hi everyone.
Please, can you tell me if it's possible to find the old ATI drivers
for Radeon X600?
My Card is a ABIT X600 Pro-HDTV. ABIT OcGuru program is necessary to
manage the daughter card for HDTV support, but from 6.3 version of ATI
drivers OcGuru doesn't work anymore. I need 6.2 version for...

widescreen monitor by
Dima[_3_]
Hi,
How do you play 4:3 aspect ratio games on a widescreen monitor?
On nVidia cards, there's an option to scale the image, so you get black bars
on the sides of the screen and the image becomes square.
There's no such option in CCC...
I wrote ATI but never got a response.

"Overdrive" by

Well as posted a week or so ago I have finally got a new card (X1950
Pro Agp) and I'm really pleased with it. It seemed to run ok with my
360W PSU but I got paranoid and so have now fitted a 550W. Anyway I
have been messing around with the CCC settings now I know I have the
power behind it. The...

I need a new video card. This one (ATI all-in-one 9000) won't play Call of

time for a new card.
I don't read read or understand the razzmatazz specifications on video
cards. I just want to play the newer games, and I can...

With the upcoming new ATI RV670 based video cards with PCIe 2.0 native

generation Direct X 10 cards which are relatively fast? (Talking about it
being on par with the x1950Pro and 2600Pro/XT AGP cards). Will the Rialto

Will ATI make new AIW cards? by

Somewhere I heard that ATI disconnect AIW product line. That could be
wrong. Anyone knows?
I wish to see a new AIW with better and newer TV functions, such the
ones their new TV tuner cards have.

Can't play DVDs in Windows Media Player since updating Catalyst drivers by
Ted[_4_]
I recently updated my Catalyst drivers for the first time in over a year and
since then have been unable to play DVDs using Windows Media Player. I can
play any video files ok, just not DVDs.
Does anyone know what the problem could be and how to fix it?
Thanks in advance.

ATI X1950 512meg AGP by
Craig Coope
Hi,
I just bought one of these and I've come to install it...
The instructions aren't very clear...
It doesn't say anything in the leaflet about plugging in a 4 pin power
cable but on the sticker on the static bag it said do. However there
are 2 sockets.
