Alfred Einstein
Driver upgrades on my ATI AIW just hosed up my system again (Dell desktop,

Situation: I need to be able to play newer games. New Tomb Raider shows
glass/transparent floors and walls with the old drivers. Even an older game

Baffling problem with Asus M2N32-SLI based machine by
alisonnic
I have a baffling problem with a computer I built about six months
ago, based around an Asus M2N32-SLI Deluxe motherboard.
After a series of problems (see history, below), this computer ran
fine for several weeks. Then, a couple of days ago, after several
hours of heavy use, when I exited a game,...

6 pin power connector, 6800 GS 512 AGP by
nospam
Hi,
My card has a 6 pin, power connector that looks like PCI express. The
PCI-Express cable off the PS does not power the card. Read somewhere
that I have to cut one line, Anybody know what if any, the difference
between a PCI-express connector and this cards would be?
Will the dual Molex to...

Need Duel Analog VGA Ports: Any Suggestions beside GeForce FX 5200? by
Nobody
My built in video on my new Asus does not support duel analog signals. I
have a FX 5200 from my former mb but it is AGP and I do not have an AGP slot
on the new MB; just PCI and PCIex.
I'm not a gamer, just got used to using duel analog LCDs so performance is
not critical. Do any other Nvidia...

8800's are $500+ now.. what about in 6 months? by
Snugglemonster
*I* can't justify dropping $500 or more for a *video card*.
I also plan to purchase a power gaming PC at year's end, or so, based
on how much time i'll have available when my now 1.5 month old son
turns 6 months and counting. But that's another story altogether! lol
So.. will these cards still...

Many people ordering BIOS chips for A8N32-SLI Deluxe by
Skybuck
Hello,
I am definetly not the only one with probably a dead BIOS chip for the
Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe motherboard. (Confirmed by third party bios
flashing service)
Let's recap:
1. Asus sells a motherboard with a bios version which does not
completely support 4 GB.

Can I keep the old bios chip ? by
Skybuck
Hello,
The old motherboard is dead.
I want to send it back to my reseller for RMA so I can get a new
motherboard.
However these bios chips are very hard to get your hands on.
Resellers of bios chip don't sell individual chips, they only do

Successor to 8800? by
HockeyTownUSA[_2_]
I have started compiling the specs for my new PC, which I'm hoping to start
purchasing components in the next month or so. The 8800 has been out for a
little bit, and seems like it is about time for them to announce the next
iteration of the 8800. Anyone know if it is worth the wait, or what...

How to test a power supply ? by
Skybuck
Hello,
Some have suggested to buy a voltmeter and then test the power supply.
Since computers have special plugs and such, how would one go about
testing the power supply ?
Are there special plugs necessary ?
(Not that I would ever try it, way to dangerous !)

I upgraded from 9x.xx to 160.03 - XP. I have a TV connected as a 2nd

go a little nuts. Flickers for a couple of seconds - and also occasionally
loses proper colour settings.
Anyone else get this ? And is there a...
