4 SATA Drives on a GA-7NNXP by
Art Wakefield
I want to install 4 SATA drives on my GA-7NNXP. It comes with a
daughterboard/controller. The SATA manual or the MB manual say nothing
about it. When I install the card (with the power connector), any drive
attached to it does not show anywhere in BIOS. How do I enable this
controller? Any...

SATA RAID 0 on GA-7NNXP by
Art Wakefield
I have two Segate SATA drives running a Raid 0 striped. I just bought two
Maxtor SATAs and would like to add them. I have the daughter board that
allows more SATA connections for this board and the cables. My question is
this. If I put them in and format them, can I add them to the striped...

Is GA-7NNXP any good by
Art Wakefield
I haven't heard much about this board. I've heard it is pricey and loud,
with lots of features. Anyone have one? What do you think? Is the noise
an issue?

Arthur Ricker
At the first BIOS screen hit Ctrl+F1. This will give you advanced BIOS
settings. Then you will be able to select "initialize PCI video first".

Keyboard Problem in XP with K8NF-9 nForce4 by
Ashley McConnell
Hi Folks,
Got my lovely new PC yesterday (K8NF-9 nForce4). However there is an
annoying problem. When I use a USB mouse with my PS/2 keyboard, the
keyboard is not recognised in Win XP.
If I remove the keyboard from Device Manager and then search for new
hardware, the keyboard is recognised and...

8I945P-G problem when bios updated? by
astro
Hi just wondering if anyone has this motherboard 8I945P-G. I just
updated the bios using the @bios utill on the mobo driver disk. It
tells me that all went well and that I need to reboot my machine for
it to take effect! That’s where it all went pear shaped. When I
restarted there's no vga nothing...

ga k8n ultra 9 BIOS reverted to F2 by
[email protected]
Hi,
I seem to have dropped back to version F2 of my Bios I could have sworn
that I had a higher version, I've been running a dual core amd for many
months. I tinkered with the ram speed and now (even with Ctrl-F1 hidden
options) I don't have the same menus.
I'm sure the auto BIOS recovery somehow...

Fan Speed by
AussieBob
I have a new GA-8S655TX Ultra Motherboard and the CPU (P4 2.8 Prescott) Fan
speed is showing in the low 2000 region. The Manual states around 4000+ in
their example. Everytime the screen changes I can hear the Fan (very noisy)
change speed. Should I be worried? It is the standard fan that came...

GA-7vaxp and Barton 2500 overclock by
avqpilot
Hello All,
I recently swapped out my 2100xp with a new Barton2500 and added a 2nd
stick of ram.
I was a little disappointed that my ram got stepped down to a bus size
of 333 from the 400 level I had the single stick at before. I'm
using Corsair XMS512 PC3200. On the other hand, I did increase...

GA-8S661FXMP-RZ: PowerSupply 24pin on 20pin Mainboard by
Axel Schwenke
Hi there!
I've got a Powersupply with that 24pin connector.
The board is a GA-8S661FXMP-RZ with only 20pins for the powersupply.
Is it possible to plug that 24pin connector onto the board?
I tried it and it fits with the last 4pins "in the air".
But I don't wont to turn it on, unless I know if...

Gigabyte driver update by
Axl
It seems like Gigabyte don't update their drivers at all. The drivers
for their peripherals seems to be the same since antiquity. I've seen
that the Silicon Image SATA drivers are old and there are newer ones
at Silicon Image's own site. Does these drivers work directly with
Gigabyte motherboards...

Modded BIOS for 8INXP? by
Axl
I want to have a better BIOS for my 8INXP board. As standard the CPU
voltage is set to 1.6V rather than 1.55V for my CPU which makes the
CPU run too hot. I dont why the Gigabyte software engineers have done
this but they must have made a serious mistake. I've seen other
mistakes as well in that...

8INXP CPU voltage too high by

The CPU voltage (Vcore) on my 8INXP is way too high. In EasyTune4 it even
suggest that the Vcore is set on 1.6V as standard BIOS setting and not 1.55V
for my P4 3.06GHz. When set on 1.6V the Vcore shows 1.61V (1.63V with DPS
installed). Why on earth has Gigabyte set the Vcore too high as...

Top performance on 8INXP in detail by

With the top performance setting enabled in the BIOS the FSB is set on
135MHz Is that the only thing top performance do? It is quite strange
