AMD chipset & NVidia compatibility by
pawihte[_2_]
Is there a possibility of encountering compatibility issues by
installing an NVidia-based graphics card on an AMD/ATI
chipset-based motherboard? Or vice versa? Could you please
categorise it by way of likely (a known issue), possible (in
certain cases), unlikely or highly unlikely?

RTC accuracy by
pawihte[_2_]
My computer RTC is quite accurate as computer clocks go, being
off by no more than a few seconds over a period of several days
without syncing, whereas I've noticed some computers to be off by
minutes in 24 hours even with a healthy battery.
I've heard that the accuracy of a computer clock not...

RAM prices going up? by
pawihte[_2_]
Memory prices seem to have gone up recently here in India. Do you
see the same trend in other countries? I ask here because
checking online prices myself now wouldn't tell me anything as I
haven't checked them in recent months.

Argh, I lifted a solder pad by
Grinder
While trying to recap an SE/30, I managed to lift a solder pad off of
the motherboard. It has broken right at the point where the pad becomes
a trace, and I can see a little bit of copper with my 30x magnifier.
The trace runs under a chip a couple of mm later, so I can't see any
other pad or...

Hi:

From the looks of all MoBo's on that site, the "UMC 386DX-40" is
probably the best for my vintage dream PC.
My vintage dream PC contains that MoBo along with the following:
