Machine rebooting. by
Bulla
A friend has a Win 2k machine that starts up, runs scandisk, finds no
errors, but then just as windows 2k is loading resets and starts all over
again. I've told him that I reckon its a psu or overheating problem. Any
other ideas ?

Machine reboots unexpectedly -help. by
half_pint
Sometimes my machine reboots unexpectedly maybe once
or twice a day.
I am at a loss to no why, could be hardware or software?
I must add it reboots as if you had pressed the power button
off, ie there is no warning or error message prior to reboot.
Sometime it reboots immediately other times I...

Mel
Was fine last night. My wife doesn't remember powering it off, as we
usually don't but when I came home from work it was off. It won't
start again. When you hit the power button, I can see the fan on the
heatsync spin a few times and that is it. When you try again you get
nothing. I replaced the...

Macrium backups. by
Peter Jason
I backup regularly with the latest Macrium.
I manually delete the old backup and replace it with the new.
Can this be automated by just having the new backup rolling over the
old?
For a bigger HDD can I ask it to roll over the oldest backup while
keeping the latest ones?

magnetic ledger (unusued) avail. for classic NCR (399 etc) machines by
patrick jankowiak
I know where there's a 2" thick package (100-200 pages?) of NOS NCR
Magnetic ledger.
It is somewhat larger than 8.5x11, on somewhat heavy manilla/yellow card
as expected, and has 4-5 (If I recall) magnetic ink(?) strips on the
backside.
These might have been used with the NCR399 and other fine...
