Blank disc virus by mike333
Is it possible for a disc that the operating system thinks is blank to contain a virus or trojan. How does the OS decide its blank, does it read a certain area which must be written if the disc is not blank if the disc is packet written, multisession, or disc at once. Or is there an area which is...

portable data cd reader??? by Norman Seifert
I want a portable book size data cd reader(not a laptop.) You put in a cd with html document files and can read the words on a screen. It wouldn't have internet, wouldn't show photos, or play music and would read only. Is there such a thing? Thanks.

I need the clear dummy cd discs, and either the foam or solid plastic rings that go at the top of a stack of cdr's. where do I find this stuff? and by what names do they call them? I know they are not called stacking rings, because that is a feature of the cd itself. I know I can go to...

Best moderate price CD-Rs? by Bill Johnston
I asked around about this about 6 years ago when I first bought a burner. The advice was that Mad in Taiwan was questionable, and Made in Japan was good, regardless of brand name. Is this still the case? I've tried some made in Taiwans, they seemed OK, has the quality improved? And is the...

HI, I went to burn my new cd I recorded after I had installed a new Liteon burner last week. Wow, it gave me the only option of burning on the other cd drive that is just an Atapi cdrom one. Strange. However, all the rest of the info worked, so I just burned the CD with the one offered at 12X and...
