Comparison of Integrated Motherboard Video Chipsets by
darkrats
Can someone post a performance comparison between these two onboard video
chips"
Radeon Xpress 200M
Radeon Xpress 1200
Everything else on the motherboards would be the same, only difference would
be the video.
The systems would not be used for gaming, but would be used for watch videos
(DVDs).

Catalyst Control Panel vs driver only by
yaugin
For my card and OS at least, ATI seems to make available both a full
CCP suite and a lightweight driver-only package. While I normally get
the full CCP package, I don't really use it, and it seems to put a
pretty big dent in my system startup time (the ATI tray menu is always
the last thing to come...

New Omegas drivers, and they run on W2K too ! by
Dirk Dreidoppel
These are quite the only way to run 7.9 CATs on Windows 2000.
http//www.omegadrivers.net is the link as always. Based on 7.9.1 hotfix
drivers even. Of course they are just as well for XP :)

ATI X1650 Based Cards - Not Good Choice For Older Dell Computers by
The Sparkster
Hi Listers,
Avoid the ATI X1300 & X1600 series cards like the pox, especially if
you have an older Dell unit.
I purchased a new X1650 from eBay. The card is sweet, but when
installed in my Dimension 8100, the card won't post, hence no boot-up.
I've been through both ATI support and Visiontek...

Radeon X1600 broken!? by
[email protected]
I am having some major issues with my X1600("Made by ATI"), in fact, I
think it may be dead and/or permanently broken.
Here's the deal:
It will no longer output a video signal to the monitor when the PC is
turned on. If I unplug it from the card and plug it in to the
computer's onboard video...

Looking for a PCI video card that can support.... by
[email protected]
Looking for a PCI video card that can support two D-Sub VGA at 800x480
resolution and AT THE SAME TIME, support a TV output.
Tried Nvidia Geforce FX 5500 and ATI Radeon 7000. Neither supports
three output simultantanously. Nvidia does custom timing allowing me
to run at 800x480.
Any suggestions? I...

Latest "non-digital-audio" AIW drivers? by
Matt Ion
Egads, the last few versions of drivers and MMC have surely sucked the
big green one... I've been testing the latest BeyondTV and really like
it, but performance was simply awful with the newer CCC drivers, and the
audio was intermittant at best before it disappeared completely.
I've reverted...

Problem: Toggles between 16bit and 32bit color depth by
David McColgan
I'm having a problem when using the latest drivers (7.8 and 7.9), it keeps
reducing the color depth to 16bit on startup and i want it to stay at 32bit
so i have to change it every time, is there a registry fix to force it to
keep it at 32bit?
Sapphire HD2600XT DDR3 model. Did the same thing...
