More Than 6 SATA Ports? by
(PeteCresswell)
Seems like most mobos have six or fewer SATA ports.
The one I'm currently using as a WSH server only has six.
I find that using RAID cards to enable more drives has it's hassles.
When I shop for the next mobo, would I be wasting my time looking for
something with 10 or 12 SATA ports - that...

GA-Z87X-UD4H: No USB Power? by
(PeteCresswell)
In the process of building up a GA-Z87X-UD4H system, I notice that there
does not seem to be any power available on either the USB2 or USB3
outlets. I have not tried the internal USB3 headers pending purchase
of a 3.5" front panel to use them.
OTOH, on my EP45-UD3L, there is power on all the...

Power Supply Connector by
Hidden
When buying a power supply for a motherboard do you have to check
which connector type it has for the motherboard before purchase. I see
that some motherboard require different plug types and wasn't sure if
they come with different connectors.

Z87X-UD4H-CF: Mix Memory Sizes? by
(PeteCresswell)
Z87X-UD4H-CF mobo, socket 1150 LGA.
Currently have 8 gigs occupying 2 slots (i.e. 2 4-gig memory module)
2 more slots are currently empty.
If I add memory, do I have to add two more 4-giggers?
Or could I, for instance, put an 8-gig module in each of the two
unoccupied slots giving me a total of...

(PeteCresswell)
I want to replace the Mobo/CPU on a DriveBender box that has been giving
me fits.
My 24-7 PC has a Gigabyte Z87X-UD4H-CF in it.
I am perfectly happy with that board and would buy a second one except
they do not seem tb available.
My only requirements:

Trying to find F8 BX2000 BIOS by
Thomas Lake[_2_]
I mistakenly flashed F9 into both the backup and main Dual BIOS chips. My system crashes with BIOS errors frequently. I'd like to put an older version of the BIOS in both places but I can't find an older BIOS to flash. I checked the Wayback Machine for old Gigabyte archived sites but no luck. Does...

NTLDR problem not a Windows problem: BIOS Corrupted by
arnieb[_2_]
Hi,
I have a GA-880GA-UD3H Rev 3.0 board. I was in the process of
recovering from a Win7-64 crash when I got the message, NTLDR Missing.
I swapped in my old drive with the older, but still working version of
Windows and I got the same message. Next, I did what I was supposed to
do and ran the...

Need CPU Fan for Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD4P MB by
Bill[_34_]
I have a Intel-860, I7 CPU on the Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD4P MB
I am using the Intel CPU fan that came with the CPU.
In the last day of so, my CPU fan is starting to vibrate a little.
If I push gently on the center of the fan it reduces or stops the
vibrations (so this fan IS the cause). CPU temps...

Does my GIGABYTE mobo support SATA 3? by
Bob Smith[_3_]
I've googled and have read the owners manual but I still need to know
if my Gigabyte GA-880GM-UD2H (rev. 1.4) supports SATA 3 drives. Also I
have a question. I have some SATA drives already hooked up but at
different SATA's (e.g. one drive is a SATA1 and another is SATA2). Can

8IRXP and "OLD" reboot, BIOS problem by
Doc
hey John,
Would 'cha believe my old faithful Matrox G400 dH just died
in this board. Now I do have to "buy" something.
ANYONE put a RADEON 9100 into the 8IRXP?
Believe it fits the '1.5 voltage specs (right?)
I'll post in a separate 'video' inquiry. Thanks.

I've tried 2 GA-7N400 Pro boards. After booting a few times, they tend to
take 2-3 minutes to move from the CPU identification to the RAM check.
After
that, the boards boot fine....
