TheInquirer: 'Why AMD should merge with Nvidia' by NV55
Why AMD should merge with Nvidia Comment: To save us from Intel By Axonn Echysttas TO QUOTE A famous expression: "there can be only one". Looking at how things shape up for AMD and Nvidia, it's rather obvious to see that in the future there can be only one.

Is AMD doomed? by Rich Billionaire
I really like AMD, but it seems like lately they're getting deeper and deeper into trouble and have no discernible way out of it. Are they doomed? Do you see any way they can get out of this mess? I'm using a pc right now with an Athlon 64 X2 5600+. Somehow in my mind, Intel cpu's are nasty and...

Looking for a good AMD Duo Core and small mobo combo by TBerk
Is there a good recommendation for a AMD cpu (Duo Core pls) with a motherboard that will, oh I suppose, some SATA and USB 2.0 of course. Really the motherboard isn't really (right now) the consideration, I'm just looking to bridge from an old K6-2 setup to something a little more modern w/o...

Intel Larrabee will have 32 cores, not 16 or 24 by AirRaid[_3_]
Originally, Intel was saying Larrabee would have 10 or more cores. Most articles in 2007 mentioned 16 to 24 cores. This was when Larrabee was slated for release in 2009. Now that Larrabee has been pushed to 2010, it seems Intel will be able to get 32 cores into the first version. "How many of...
