My esata port works great with my 1tb drives but will only show my 2tb drive when the drive is powered up at boot. The 1tb drives can be turned off without a problem. If I boot with the 2tb powered it will show but if I turn it off then back on it will not. It is not an enclosure problem as I have...

P5Q Deluxe ESATA Question by [email protected]
I enabled the Marvel in the bios and I turn the external ESATA drive on before booting and it works fine. If the drive is off at boot and I turn it on after booting the drive won't show up. Is this the way it should work? Is there no way to leave the drive off until you need access to it? ...

My troublesome P5W DH De Luxe boards by Leachim Sredna
Hi Group, I was running one of these boards for a year or so some months back, but started getting various strange problems ( I admit I had been overclocking it a bit, and it was always a tricky board). The last problem I recall appeared to be the floppy controller failing, but I couln't pin...

Skybuck's Dream PC dead again for the (4th?) zillion-th time ?!? (Electrical fault with X-Fi Elite Pro Soundblaster) by Skybuck Flying[_2_]
For the record. ESD fail theory can be shoved straight up your ass. I fokked my Pentium III 450 mhz harder then you can possibly imagine. I touched every motherfokking component of it, touched it with water, dust, poop, screws, screw drivers, fluffy stuff, dust, fingers. And it's still working...

Well, well, well, well well wellll.... This puts on a new perspective on things: http://www.aavidthermalloy.com/technical/papers/engineering.shtml Might be heat afterall... Perhaps heat caused an eletrical failure... (on motherboard).

Does grounding a PC lead to less power usage ? by Skybuck Flying[_2_]

P5Q Deluxe External USB/1394 Port Question by [email protected]
I have installed ports with two usb each to the blue headers on the mobo. One header has a red connector for the 1394 port. Am I better off not to connect to large drives to these connectors or does it matter? Should one drive be connected to one header and one to the other? Just wondering...
