What would you recommend, please? by
Peter Able
My HP850C colour inkjet is coming to the end of its long life. As it can be
refilled with bulk ink, the print cost is less than half a penny per page.
I print about 1000 pages per month - predominantly black text. I refill the
42ml black cartridge about once a month, the 39ml colour cartridge...

According to druckerchannel.de the new CLI-521/ PGI-520 cost less but
contain even less than the cli-8s. What the hell?

Real-world ink longevity test, Part 2 by
TJ
Many of the customers at my open-air farm market are local people that
we've known for years, and they often inquire about our activities in
the off-season. I've created a small display of vacation photos, and
placed them on a counter where those who wish to view them, can. Even
with customers...

Question for Measekite by
Stick Stickus
As you SHOUT down all users of third party inks, stating that they do not
know who makes the ink nor what is in them, please be kind enough to answer
this question......
WHO makes Epson, HP, Canon or indeed any other oem inks? Please supply
evidence of this. Oh! and don't just say Epson, HP, Canon,...

Refilled by
ZR
I just refilled my IP4000. Now I don't need to worry about my wallet
whenever I print. It went smoothly. I used plastic screw and o-ring to seal
it. I had to thread the filling hole and there may be scraps got into the
cartridge while threading. Should I worry about it? Will the foam/filter
block...

Why can't I print my own £££££££ by
Reluctant Traveller
Yeh, I really am going to put the Bank Of England out of business with
my new £30 Lexmark.
We all do it for a laugh or just because we can and had no probs before,
just happened to try it
on my new machine and I get a warning about new software to stop forgeries.
Thanks Lexmark, but as you didn't...

monochrome (black) ink jet by
[email protected]
I'm looking for a monochrome (e.g. black only only) ink jet printer.
Connection by parallel port, USB, Firewire, or ethernet (TCP/IP) is OK.
A color printer with a single separate black cartridge that can function
in monochrome mode with the color cartridge(s) missing would be acceptable.
But I...

Samsung ML-2151N and Memory Upgrade by
Larry
All,
I recently purchased a Samsung ML-2151N Network Laser Printer. I've printed
close to 1000 pages, nearly all duplexed, and it has performed flawlessly.
However it became clear early on that, especially with duplexing enabled,
the standard 16MB of RAM was not going to cut it. There were long...

HP 7960 vs CANON Pixma 4000 by
Matthew
OK, I am going nuts trying to figure out which to get. I have looked at
numerous reviews of both the HP 7960 and the new Canon Pixma 4000. I can get
the HP at Costco for the bargain price of $150.00.
I had a Canon i850 which I love but killed the print head. I am replacing
the head for $50 to give...

Yet Another - Canon Ink Question by
BobS
Been following some of the interesting comments in recent threads about
Canon inks and after reading all that, I have a couple of questions:
I recently purchased the Canon i9900 printer along with a full set of spare
cartridges. At approximately $12 (USD) per cartridge this is not totally
outrages...

New printer but some files want to use the old one by
Chrisssssss.........
I have replaced my Epson 880 with an Epson C86.
The installation went easily and the new printer works fine. The problem is
that many of my (thousands of ) files are still set to use my old printer.
This means that every time I open a document, I have to reset to the new
printer. If I fail to do...

3rd party inks and ip3000 by
Ron Goodenow
I have a brand new Canon iP3000 that I want to use for non-critical
printing, including test prints for clients (who will have acceptable
images professioinally printed). I've used a really good HP for that
purpose, but am tiring of paying the consumable prices and may use it
only for my own high...

Canon S820 Run dry, now will not print by
chip3130
Have a Canon S820 that is about a year old (will probably be 1 day past the
warrenty when I check). Very little printing on it (about once, every few
weeks). I have now replaced the ink tanks for a second time.
The photo inks ran dry a while back, and the black just did so too. Now,
upon replacing...
