Hi all, I have a desktop PC with an AMD dual core processor, ASUS M2N4-
SLI motherboard, Nvidia Geoforce 8600 GT and an HP 22207h 22 inch

Hello Peeps,
I noticed how gpu1 was running 10 degrees hotter than gpu2.
When I shutdown the system gpu1 heatpipes were very hot... the north bridge
heatsink was very hot... the mosfet was a bit warm too.
The cpu heatsink/cooler fins were cool.
GPU2 heatpipes were cool.

Motherboard looks fried. by
Skybuck Flying[_2_]
Hello,
The old motherboard which is probably defective looks fried.
I have two explanations for this:
1. The dual graphics cards 7900 gtx fried the motherboard... possibly
because of too low airflow to them.
2. The led connectors weren't properly attached, maybe caused electrical

A8N32-SLI motherboard ?
Apperently the zipang can have 4 different orientations.

6600GT to 9600GT - worth it? by
Victek
I've been using a 6600GT in my system (Vista and XP) for a couple of years.
It has worked fine, but now I'm thinking of upgrading and I'm considering
the 9600GT. I'm not a gamer - I'm looking for faster redraws on the
desktop. Vista in particular has native support for hardware acceleration...

9800 GX2 PSU question by
turk[_3_]
Hi,
I just bought an EVGA 9800 GX2 video card and it refuses to boot. And
when I swapped out my spare card (a 7900 GT) into the slot and tried to
reboot, the computer would not boot at all until I unplugged the power
supply and plugged it back in and then rebooted. Does this mean my PSU...

Refresh Rate not stable in 3D games by
tonyk
In the past few months, many of my 3D games seem to drop my refresh rate of
85mz and I get a wavy screen. In some games it only happens in the menu,
half life, Combat arms, in others they are unplayable. I've done driver
rollbacks and updates, all the same. Even tried coolbits. I'm thinking...

Resonance poll: Does your computer resonate ? by
Skybuck Flying[_2_]
Hello,
I wonder which setup is best to prevent a computer from resonating.
1. My theory is that "top down" coolers, which blow directly against the
motherboard might cause resonance.
The cooler is trying to blast away like a space ship in space... but the
motherboard is keeping it...

Possibly new problem discovered with air cooling: Static electricity build up. by
Skybuck Flying[_2_]
Hello,
Meeeee, Skybuck, has possibly discovered a new problem with air cooling for
electronics:
Static electricty could build up... because the wind is rubbing it's
electrons against the materials, like plastics and so on.
Static electricty could build up at which at a certain point it might...

NX88000 GTS problem by
playstation60[_5_]
I recently received a NX8800 GTS graphics card from someone. It's by
MSI, if it matters to anyone. Along with the card I received a couple
of computers, one of which has the required PCI-Express slot to run this
graphics card. I plug it in and the card emits the loud, annoying tone.
The fan on...
