Epson wins litigation - aftermarket carts already in short supply by
anonymous
Today my wholesale supplier of aftermarket inkjet cartridges for my
Epson 760, 860 and 1160 printers told me that they are out of carts
for these printers and won't have a source of supply available until
some time in October. It seems that quite a number of aftermarket cart
manufacturers settled...

Inkjet printing both sides by
Terry Pinnell
Somewhat OT for both groups (I'd appreciate a pointer to a more
appropriate one), but I imagine there's some expertise on this subject
here.
I want to make a birthday card by folding a sheet of the A4 'Super
quality photo paper for inkjet printers' that I have at hand, bought
from WH Smith. But I...

Recommendations? by
Lil' Abner
I have an HP Deskjet 722C printer that I must have had for 4 years or so
now. It does excellent work and has given me no problems whatsoever. But I
have worked it to death and want to replace it before it dies on me.
What printers are out there now that will do at *least* as good a job as
this one...

Canon pixma ip5000 problem by
Mary Haggie
I wonder if some kind person can throw some light on a problem that has
developed on my 6 month old printer.
Basically the print out became muddy and when I ran a nozzle check it
showed that the yellow ink was almost grey (the printer has separate
cartridges and the yellow tank is adjacent to the...

which ink is likely to run out first? by
Brendan R. Wehrung
I've got a fairly new Canon MP600 for which I will eventually have to buy
ink. Office Depot sent me a coupon that might be useful ($10 off $25 or
more on ink) but I have to project which ink tanks are going to need
replacement first. My guess is large black...followed by which colors?
Nothing...

Canon won't disclose... by
Frank
I spoke to Canon and they refused to disclose who manufacturers their
ink, so I refuse to ever use it again. They told me no major inkjet
supplier will disclose who manufacturers their ink for them. So I now
use only Hobbicolor in my Canons. No clogs and no fading with perfect
color match.
As far...

I also need help with Duplex on my IP4000 (Different Problem) by
Mikey
It seems that if I print the same document with exact same settings the
print quality of black is paler when using Duplex.
It seems that it is not using the same black ink as the Non Duplex printing.
Anyone know if this is the case, or should I try a reinstall of the
software?
Thanks

Warning about Canon PIXMA iP3000/iP4000 series printers by
Vincent
We were considering buying a Canon PIXMA iP3000 because these are the
first printers we have ever seen that finally quit ripping people off
quite so much on ink. The whole printer ink jet market, until now,
has been a scam, making you spend an average of $40-$60 buy new print
heads and cartridges...

When do I change an ink cartridge? by
OM
This might sound simple, but, when do I change an ink cartrdige?
My iP4000 is saying that the black is low.
I've used it several times since the message came up.
I've got replacement inks.
Normally... I would wait until no further printing is possible because
it's gone completely dry.
But I've...

The TRUTH about dye prints both Canon & Epson by
Larry
The truth of the matter appears to be that the dye ink prints from ALL dye
based inkjet printers will fade if they are abused,,, PERIOD.
The problem seems to be that they dont get treated properly after printing.

Are "compatible" cartridges safe to use? by
Jane
I have a Canon i560. It's a cheap but very nice little printer. Does
a really nice job and I don't want to ruin it.
I've been looking for replacement color cartridges and most of them are
advertised as either "compatible" or "compatible refills". They are
quite inexpensive.
Are these OK to...
