Copying system to a new drive by Colin Bearfield
I run Windows XP pro on a 8Gb partition of a 40Gb drive. It's getting tight. I plan to buy an 80Gb drive and I hope to use Norton Ghost 2001 to copy the partition to the new drive and finish up in bootable order. Is it possible? Has anyone done it? Norton is a kosher copy, but the booklet seems...

The CD Rom is on the 2nd Master. I put the IDE drive on 1st Slave. It won't boot up. Says invalid OS....

Printer will not come online on LPT2 (PCIcard) by Per Holm
Hi, I will try once more. I did not get the answer I need: This PCI card says it will work with DOS. Also, using MSD I can get the computer to recognize the card, remap the IRQ and use the right address (I have disabled the built-in ports except LPT1 to make sure this doesn't have an impact)....

LCD Monitors, Should I buy one? by [email protected]
I have been thinking of buying one LCD. I have a very nice monitor, and I love tube monitors. LCD monitors have turned me off because nearly all LCD makers don't want to sell backlight for the LCD, and present LCD won't work with HD-DVD due to "systemwide content protection scheme called PVP-OPM"...

About 2 out of 3 times, when waking out of a sleep state over night, I get several seconds of a sound, like something winding down. After, everything is normal. Happens only after an overnight sleep. During any other time, no sound. Sounds for all the world like something mechanical, but fans...
