Line In vs Line 0ut. by
[email protected]
Hi,
I have a DIM 2400, and at the back there are three outlets to plug in
sound cables. I know the Green is for the Speaker System, but of the
other two, I don't know which is the Line In and which is the Line Out.
None of Dell's papework spell it out.
Is the one with the arrow that point...

Using the 1905FP flat screen in portrait mode by
jockmcdock
Hi.
I'm a newbie here and not at all a hardware buff. My question is a very
simple one. How do I use my 1905FP flat screen in portrait mode? I
start up Word (for example) but if I rotate the screen, the document
doesn't realign itself. And typing with my head held at a right angle
becomes...

Opnions please on new XPS Gen 5 & Accessories by
Molly
I would put in a regular 3.2 processors, a single 250GB HD, and the best
video card. I wonder when will Dell offer this card for less than $300
dollars, again. I like the 2001 LCD.

Dell versus Asus? by
wayne
I would go with the local machine as long as they are truly reliable.
if they fold in a year your warranty also goes away. As long as you are
fairly handy I would go with it. Dell computers in general tend to come
with OK but not oversized power supplies and the motherboards do not
offer much in...

Hard Drives - 2xPhysical = 1xVirtual by
Tom Baldwin
My new Dell 9100 has two 160GB hard drives, but WIndows sees only one
at 295GB.
I specifically ordered two for backup / imaging.
How do I get WIndows to recognises them separately?
Thanks.

I've been watching the Outlet today as they're having a good sale and I'm in
the market for a desktop.
Right now there are three Dimensions and one Inspiron at the Outlet.
Total.
All models, all OS, all speed, all, all, all.
Four machines.

Supervisor Password vs BIOS Password by

I received my Dell XPS Gen 4, WinXPpro SP2, Media Center 2005 Edition

Somewhere along the way, a Supervisor password was generated, and I
have it written down.
I do not know when/why I would need to use this Supervisor...

Kingwin KF-23-IPF, etc by
inquiringmind
Does anyone know if the Kingwin KF-23-IPF or any of the other ball
bearing fan models of mobile racks will fit a standard Dell Dimension
case. I have two 5 inch bays open, but I have not measured them and I
read a complaint by someone of another brand not fitting.

pure virtual function errors with XPS 5 by
Ned Hamilton
Anyone else seen any "pure virtual function" errors with dual core HT Dell
pentiums?
New XPS 5 with 3.2GHz HT has triggered some of these errors when running
Photoshop CS (not CS2) and Outlook Express.
I suspect it's related to threads not syncronizing with the dual cores or
with HT. (Although...
