I think this is bad news, but I'll mention it anyway :-)

It sounds like an extremely cheap CMOS image sensor is being used in the
camera, is the image quality still poor under a bright light source?

Cameras add more gain to the image as light levels fall, and adding gain
also amplifies the noise from the sensor, so you will probably get more
grain/snowyness.

i just messed with the internals...and yeah the picture quality is a bit
snowy.....

i swapped the image sensor with a dofferent one as i had a burnt out camera
kicking about....

its improved so much im using it 24/7 for garden security....

the camera switches form colour to b/w when the light falls.....and ive
added a few more leds for the night vision....

my front door is glowing red all night now.....and the garden is lit up in
infrared light....

which has also stopped the cat ****eing problem i had at night....they seem
to dislike the light even tho we humans cant see it...solved two problems in
one...

thanks for the reply.....im still adding and playing with it...

regards slayer
