A good program i use is Pryme available at
www.hilo.dk/pryme it offers alot for free.

The problem with FTP uploading based on motion detection is that
movies or sequences of JPG's tend to be very large. Our CamPanel
software can email you the initial sequence of images whenever motion
is detected; the rest are saved to your hard drive and are accessible
through the fixed URL that CamPanel provides.

We do not charge for this software, but we do require that you
purchase a TrackerPod ($124+) or a TrackerKey ($99) if you wish to
save more than 10 minutes of images per day.

The QC4000 have a twain driver.....and as such, U could use a program
like VirtualDub which is extremly good at grabbing video...;)
